Natural stone played a central role in shaping this contemporary villa. Calacatta Picasso Marble was introduced across key interior areas to create one consistent design language rather than a collection of unrelated feature materials.
Its bright white background, expressive black and grey veining, and subtle golden accents brought contrast, movement and an artistic character to the residence. Careful slab selection, vein planning and custom fabrication connected the kitchen, living room, bathrooms and custom furniture.

A restrained palette of warm timber, soft neutrals and metal details allows the marble to define the interior without overwhelming it.The homeowner wanted a refined interior that felt luxurious without becoming overly decorative. Warm wood cabinetry, neutral wall finishes, brushed metal details and clean architectural lines formed the foundation of the design.
Instead of adding complicated patterns, the natural movement of Calacatta Picasso Marble became the main visual feature. The material needed to create impact while remaining balanced and suitable for everyday living.
Calacatta Picasso Marble has significant natural variation. Some sections feature strong black and golden movement, while others have a calmer white background with lighter grey veining.
More expressive sections were reserved for the living-room feature wall and kitchen island. Quieter sections were selected for vanity tops and furniture surfaces.
The final layout was reviewed before cutting to preserve the strongest vein sections and maintain continuity between adjoining pieces.
The main living-room feature wall was created using two bookmatched marble panels. The adjoining slabs were opened in a mirrored arrangement, forming a balanced composition around the television.
The fireplace position, electrical points, panel joints and mounting structure were confirmed before fabrication. This preserved the approved vein layout and allowed the marble to become the room’s main artwork without additional decoration.
Full marble slabs were used across the countertop and vertical side panels. The vein direction was planned so the pattern could continue naturally over the waterfall edges rather than reading as separate surfaces.
The white background kept the kitchen bright, while the darker veins created contrast with the warm wood cabinetry. Sink and appliance cutouts were positioned around the approved layout to avoid unnecessary interruption to important vein movement.
Sections with a calmer background and lighter veining were selected for the vanity tops. This allowed the stone to complement brushed metal fixtures, warm lighting and neutral wall finishes without making the bathroom feel visually heavy.
Basin cutouts, faucet-hole positions, backsplashes, side panels and edge profiles were fabricated according to approved drawings.
Selected sections from the same slab collection were used for custom dining and coffee tables. This created smaller points of connection between the kitchen, dining room, living room and bathrooms.
For each furniture piece, the dimensions, vein direction, finished thickness, edge profile, base position, support structure and transport requirements were confirmed before production.
After the slab layout was approved, components were cut and fabricated according to the project drawings. Complex panels were dry-laid to verify the composition before packing.
In the kitchen, the marble appears bold and sculptural. In the living room, the bookmatched wall becomes natural artwork. In the bathroom, quieter veining creates a calmer atmosphere. Custom furniture introduces smaller points of connection throughout the residence.
